Location
The campsite is situated on a hill above the romantic Rhine next to the medieval 13th-century Lahneck castle. Panoramic views into Rhine and Lahn valleys..
The Upper Middle Rhine Valley is listed as UNESCO world heritage.
Surroundings
Ideal location for trips to Rhine, Moselle, Nahe and Ahr and to the Westerwald, Taunus, Eifel and Hunsrück highlands.
Coblenz and the mouth of the Moselle are only 8 km away and hosted the National Horticultural Show in 2011.
Three major hiking routes cross the immediate surroundings: „Rhine Castle Trail“, „Rheinsteig Trail“ and “Lahn Trail“ (website in German and Dutch only).
Biking is possible along the rivers on the „Rhine Cycle Track“, the “Lahn Cycle Track” (website in German only), the „Loreley Aar Cycle Track“(website in German only) and along the Moselle.
Hiking and biking can be combined with trips on the boat or by train.
The motorways passing through Coblenz make daytrips to Cologne, Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Trier, and Luxembourg easy.
500 m to the bus stop to Lahnstein and Koblenz.
Equipment
Level, well-kept grass lots and terraces with old trees.
We also have pitches in the shade.
The entrance to the public open-air swimming pool is right next door.
The campsite has a small playground with swings, seesaws and a sandbox.
Tennis and miniature golf in 2 km.
Small grocery shop, where you can also buy camping gas.
Restaurants are situated next to the campsite and close to the castle.
Well-maintained, centrally heated sanitary facilities.
Since 1993 the campsite has been given 15 “Best of the Year” awards by ADAC, the German automobile club.
